Deutsche Importeure müssen sich nach außen möglichst naturverbunden und weltoffen präsentieren, natürlich wird der Umweltschutz groß geschrieben, genau wie alles andere, was aktuell politisch korrekt ist, weil es früher oder später Aufrufe dazu geben würde, die Produkte dieser Unternehmen zu boykottieren.

The slide of the Ghanaian cedi against the dollar in early 2022 suggest tough decisions are urgently needed to limit the impact on an already fragile economy.

A slide of over 15% against the dollar by early March meant that the cedi was the worst-performing major currency in Africa, according to Bloomberg.

Ethiopia's Tigray war: TPLF agrees to humanitarian truce

Rebel forces fighting in northern Ethiopia have agreed to a government offer of a truce to allow aid deliveries to reach millions of people in urgent need of assistance.

No aid has been delivered to the Tigray region since mid-December, with the government accused of imposing a blockade. It blames rebel forces.

The TPLF rebels said they would respect the ceasefire as long as aid deliveries resume "within reasonable time".

The 16-month war has killed thousands.

Zambia cancels $1.2bn Chinese road project linking Lusaka and Ndola

Zambia has cancelled a $1.2bn contract awarded to a Chinese company for the expansion of part of a key road linking the capital Lusaka to the copper-rich regions and Southern Africa’s sole access corridor to Democratic Republic of Congo, citing “overpricing” of the project signed under the previous Patriotic Front regime.
